Preventive Care
We discuss the value of regular preventive dental care with all of our patients. Visiting us every six months, or as recommended by Dr. Badger, is a significant factor in your ongoing oral health. At these visits, we provide professional cleaning to remove any tartar or plaque before it can damage teeth. In addition, you’ll have a full examination. Digital x-rays may be taken to check or monitor any issues occurring below the gumline. If further treatment is required, Dr. Badger will discuss the issue with you and provide treatment options and recommendations so that you can make educated decisions about your care. Fillings, Crowns, & Root Canals
Cavities are best treated early. We offer tooth-colored fillings that look natural and repair teeth effectively. If a cavity reaches the tooth pulp located in the root, root canal therapy is required. This includes removing the infected pulp and nerves, cleaning the root, and filling it with gutta-percha, a biocompatible material that will seal the root and prevent further decay. A filling is placed to close the tooth. If a large portion of the tooth is lost to decay, a crown (also known as a cap) may be placed to provide structural support for the tooth. After a root canal, the tooth will return to full function.

If you have dental implants and have cracked, loose, or missing crowns, please call 928-368-7528 for implant restoration. We will schedule you for a visit to examine the issue and repair or replace the crown as needed. If we discover that the problem is with the dental implant (not the crown), we will refer you to a specialist in dental implant repair and replacement.
